Electro-Mechanical Technician Contract, 12 months M-F 40 hours weekly Must be a US Citizen 100% onsite work Duties: Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems that will be used in operational environments (DoD environments) Electronic racks Mechanical modifications and assembly Cable and harness fabrication and installation (including routing, restraining) Ability to read technical design/drawing packages and implement into hardware leveraging industry best practices Ability to create/revise/recommend changes to technical documentation and identify improvements to system design (for manufacturability) Familiarity and experience (certification) with defense industry assembly standards such as IPC Experience conducting and documenting functional tests, eg initial power-up, potentially Factory Acceptance Testing Experience with trouble shooting and initial debug Ability to work/communicate with Engineering staff Understand design intent Communicate issues and corrective recommendations Experience in adhering to process and rigor in production environment Client is developing low-rate production capability, so technician needs to have comfort working in an evolving environment while applying/recommending best practices as appropriate Experience developing build-books, tracking serial numbers, etc. Operating with PLM system to retrieve and archive data Schedule flexibility to accommodate variations in program schedule and/or support multiple programs Ability to pivot among programs that may have different needs, schedules, priorities Minimum 10 years demonstrated applicable experience Education: HS and or Equivalent Experience.
