Summary This position promotes a culture of continuous improvement across the operation by actively applying continuous improvement methods to support operations. The Engineer is tasked with identifying and implementing change within the operation through data-driven continuous improvement (CI), Engineering, and Automation efforts to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

Utilizing data analytics, engineering methodologies, and core lean tools, this role is crucial for root cause identification and elimination. It involves interfacing with employees at all levels and functions within the operation. This role is directly accountable to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager, or Sr.

CI Manager and works in close collaboration with Operations Management. Essential Functions - Conducts data collection and statistical analysis. - Maps and documents processes, independently identifies process gaps, and recommends and implements improvements.

- Develops and executes a continuous improvement plan to add value for customers. - Manages CI and steady-state engineering projects aimed at business improvement. - Supports Automation projects and regularly liaises with operations management.

- Develops skills in a wide range of engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards for implementing CI, Quality Assurance, and Lean principles. - Participates in Value Stream Maps & Kaizen Events, from planning through to sustainment. - Provides reports to track progress against objectives and makes strategic recommendations.

Additional Responsibilities - Maintains and supports the Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory compliance. - Implements and monitors corrective action systems. - Assists in Quality Assurance for new or expanding operations.

Skills and Abilities - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. - Familiarity with data visualization tools and database programming. - Basic knowledge of Lean/TPS core tools/processes and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions.

- Knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, Industrial Engineering, and Lean methods. - Understanding of material handling solutions and automation, Dedicated Services, and Managed Transportation Networks. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with one year of experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge in data visualization and database programming. - Basic understanding of Lean/TPS principles and core engineering functions. - Knowledge in Warehouse Management, material handling solutions, and transportation networks.
