Working with a team of 2000 plus associates supplying Automotive OEMs with JIT parts. Duties Troubleshoot electrical issues related to HMIs, robotics, vision systems, motors, etc.

Develop electrical and programming standards used for new equipment development. Work on plant and equipment improvement projects, new equipment installations, equipment and process upgrades, and cycle time improvements Test electronics units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustment. Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.

Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. Resolve equipment malfunctions. Working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.

Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to instructions, and technical manuals. Ensure adherence to design specifications and code compliance Calculate design specifications or cost, material, and resource estimates. Maintain records documenting engineering schematics, installed equipment, problems, resources used, repairs, or corrective actions performed.

Work with machine vendors to follow the developed electrical and programming standards. Improve manufacturing processes and eliminate machine downtime. Leverage your deep understanding of PLC, HMI, and robot programs for new equipment to train Maintenance.

Inspect electrical project work for quality control and assurance. Identify solutions to on-site technical design problems involving electrical systems equipment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

4+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Skilled with PLC programming and troubleshooting Skilled with PLC, HMI, Robotics, and Vision Systems, ie AB, Mitsubishi, Cognex, Keyence, Denso types. Electrical troubleshooting experience including: wiring, circuits, motors, etc. Can understand and recommend facility power distribution including conductor sizing.

Working knowledge of, manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment, and machine operation. Ability to multitask and facilitate problem-solving and resolution. Arc flash safety regulation knowledge.

High analytical ability to break down unusual and difficult problems. Ability to read component, assembly, and equipment drawings. Effective time management skills with the ability to adopt a self-directed work style.

Strong work ethic and self-starter Able to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment. Must be able to work flexible hours to support production on all shifts during new product launch. Experience in the Automotive/Automation field is a plus Advanced education and professional certifications/trainings are a plus.
