Senior Production Engineer (GAF Energy LLC, San Jose, CA) Sustain a culture of safety, quality, and productivity through engagement of the production team. Execute strategies for improving the safety, delivery, quality, capacity, cost and productivity performance.

Drive productivity improvement and manufacturing cost optimization to meet or exceed operational goals. Collaborate with shift supervisors to manage resources and meet production targets among the shifts. Work with shift supervisors to hire and develop production associates.

Provide feedback, training, evaluation and take disciplinary actions as appropriate. Ensure the smooth running of production lines and the quality of the products produced. Create and maintain production schedules on a daily and weekly basis that maximizes production efficiency and meets customer demand.

Collaborate with production supervisors to plan production resources to meet production targets, including OT/weekend/Holidays as required. Collaborate with materials team to ensure materials availability for production builds. Support daily tasks and priorities for the production team.

Establish production reports and analyze production data to drive productivity. Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues affecting production output in a timely manner and escalate quickly as necessary. Ensure production processes are carried out in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Conduct reviews of the production processes to identify areas for improvement. Support upgrades, new products, and material introductions working with development teams. Lead or participate in activities pertaining to workflow and process improvement.

Develop improvement initiatives to drive effective utilization of materials and resources. Salary: $144,000 - $155,000 per year. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or U.S.

equivalent in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience as an Industrial Engineer, Facilities Engineer, Process Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving manufacturing. Must also have experience with the following special skills: 5 years of professional experience applying structured and disciplined methodology to derive root cause and corrective action using data; 5 years of professional experience performing statistical analysis on production data to establish production reports in an operational environment; 5 years of professional experience utilizing Lean manufacturing tools including 5S, Poka Yoke and Kaizen; 5 years of professional experience organizing and planning production resources to meet production targets and developing improvement initiatives to drive effective utilization of materials and resources; 5 years of professional experience conducting reviews of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensuring materials availability for production builds; and 5 years of professional experience working with development teams to support upgrades, new products, and material introductions.
