Title : Safety Engineer Location : Andover, MA Duration : 3+ Months contract Job Description: Direct and manage contracts that support the ESH organization, including hazardous waste management and disposal, environmental assessments, permitting, and emergency response activities. Ensure compliance to US EPA TSCA 5(e) regulations for the commercialization of new chemicals.

Manage safety testing of new chemicals through international regulatory processes. Manage site's safety committee and its safety-related approvals, investigations, and initiatives. Promote ESH culture by driving various ESH performance improvement initiatives and employee engagement activities.

Build effective relationships and trust with key stakeholders and business partners to drive program enhancements and support the development and reporting of metrics and performance data. Manage the site's ESH management system elements and support development and reporting of metrics and performance data. Assure compliance with applicable ESH regulatory, corporate, and customer requirements.

Coordinate implementation of MFC and Corporate ESH assessment and recordkeeping programs. Support management of the ESH organization's expense and capital budgets. Coordinate with other MFC locations and represent the facility in working groups or new initiatives.

Support review of existing process and facilities to identify EHS issues. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, or similar related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education Desired Skills: Experience reporting to and interfacing with Massachusetts and environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Previously demonstrated leadership experience of a small group or team.
